Upon arriving in Israel, we had the privilege of being introduced to the staff of The Joseph Project and went on a personal tour of their warehouse. What an honor to meet fellow Christ followers who are helping Israel’s most needy. From diapers to bedding, practical solutions are being offered and Jesus’s love is being shown. What is The Joseph Project? Here is an informative description from their website that explains it best:
“A staggering 1.7 million Israelis live below the poverty line, making Israel one of the countries with the highest poverty rates of all the developed nations in the world. And because of terrorism and threats from neighboring nations, much of Israel’s resources are used for national defense. This leaves few social services to help the poor and needy. This is where we make a difference.

The MJAA’s Joseph Project is the MJAA’s humanitarian aid relief work in Israel that has distributed almost $100 million in aid to the poor in Israel—Jews, Arabs, Muslims, and Christians. The MJAA collects, ships, and distributes clothing, furniture, household goods, medical supplies and other life-saving aid each year. We distribute this aid through our growing network of over 40 independent relief centers and ministries that proclaim the Good News. We have also partnered with over 100 private and government organizations in Israel. These include the Israel Defense forces, welfare offices, hospitals, shelters, youth facilities, orphanages, rehab centers, computer learning centers, congregations, soup kitchens, nursing homes, and other social service centers where those in poverty go for help. Many government officials consider “The Joseph Project” to be a trusted resource for the people of Israel, because of our abilities, leadership, and track record. Together, we are Jew and Gentile, one in Messiah, working together for the spiritual and physical restoration of Israel.”
