Don’t Put All Your Eggs in One Basket?

imageEver heard the phrase “don’t put all your eggs in one basket”? I’m sure this is good advice when it comes to diversifying your monetary savings or not putting all your emotional friendship needs on one person. But when it comes to our personal relationship with Jesus, I’m discovering quite the opposite.

With each situation and concern I have in life, I eventually come to the final conclusion that every answer is found in Him. I hear Him beckoning to us, “Come on, put  ALL your eggs in My care.” All our eggs? What eggs? Eggs such as our marriages, our kids, our careers, our fears, our dreams, and our weaknesses. He truly can be trusted with all of it.

He can be beyond trusted! As we hand over our white-shelled eggs in life, He gives them back to us as vibrant, brightly-colored eggs. They are white-shelled human issues, but under His care and Lordship and anointing, they become spectacular. There are examples all throughout the Bible of people totally surrendering all of their lives to Him and Him giving them back lives that are supernatural.
