Hedrick Valentine Luncheon

The annual Shae Hedrick Valentine Luncheon was one of extravagance . . . extravagant food and extravagant conversations. I enjoyed sharing on the topic of knowing who we are in Christ so that we can lock arms with other Christian women who know who they are in Him. I spoke about the fact that as we come together in unity and not competition, we can cover so much more ground for the advancement of the kingdom of God . . . much more than we could all by ourselves. By staying in God’s word, we are able to take every thought captive in our minds—thoughts that tempt us to compare and feel less than those around us. It was an extravagant day for sure as we were reminded of His extravagant love for us. There is no need for us to compete once we know who He says we are:

The salt of the earth (Matthew 5:13)

The light of the world (Matthew 5:14)

Children of God (John 1:12)

Part of the true vine, a channel (branch) of Christ’s life (John 15:15)

Christ’s friend (John 15:15)
