Who’s Your Daddy?

questionmarkToday I want to give a big shout out to our all-powerful, amazing, faithful Father.

Psalms 105:1-5
Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always. Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced.

Are you facing a huge challenge right now? Maybe it is a health issue or a relationship struggle. It could be finances or the constant nagging thought of ‘What am I doing with my life?’ As we walk this earth, we are guaranteed in the Bible that we will face challenges. In John 16:33 Jesus told His disciples:

“I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

When trouble comes a-knockin,’ we can say to the problem, “You must not know who my Daddy is!”

All of Israel was afraid of the huge warrior Goliath, but the young shepherd boy declared by swinging his sling, “You must not know who my Dad is!”

When the strong walls of Jericho would not allow God’s people to penetrate, the Israelites marched in obedience and declared by their actions, “You must not know who our Dad is!”

When Pharaoh refused to let God’s people out of slavery, Moses’s staff raised high declared, “You will soon see who my Dad is!”

We serve a God who slays giants with a shepherd kid’s sling. A God who causes an entire city’s walls to tumble into rubble, a God who sent plague after plague on the Egyptians when it was time for His people to be freed. A God who raises people from the dead and causes the blind to see and the deaf to hear. So when the giants in our lives try to threaten, intimidate, or make it about our weaknesses, we can boldly declare, “Do you know who my Daddy is? Let me introduce you!”

1 John 4:4
Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.

Because of Jesus’s great sacrifice on the cross, we have the authority as believers to take all that He has purchased for us . . . health, peace, life more abundantly, and ample provision. Our Daddy owns it all! I wanted to remind us today that the battle is the Lord’s, and He has already won. What an honor and a privilege to be THE MIGHTY KING’S daughter.
