Are you going through a battle right now? A dark challenge that seems overwhelming? When things get tough and feel unbearable, we are tempted to listen to these lies: I am all alone. No one understands. No one cares. I want to encourage you today that you are not alone.
Deuteronomy 31:8—And the LORD, he that doth go before thee: he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.
Deuteronomy 31:6—Be strong and of good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he (it is) that doth go with thee, he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
Hebrews 13:5—(Let your) conversation (be) without covetousness; (and be) content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Hebrews 13:6—So that we may boldly say, The Lord (is) my helper, and I shall not fear what man shall do unto me.
Romans 8:31—What then shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
Isaiah 41:10—So do not fear, for I am with you: do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you: I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
We can truly be assured that our Savior will never leave us. He has sent His Holy Spirit to guide us and bring us peace. When Jesus left this earth, He told His disciples in John 16:7, “Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.”
Not only is the Comforter with us, but our Heavenly Father loves us to the point that He made sure to give us each other. He doesn’t want us walking our Christian walks alone. Did you know that He has specific spiritual warriors that He is sending your way to lock arms with? I love that when David was feeling his loneliest, God was sending skilled men to come and help him (1 Chronicles 12).
Did you know that God is sending people to help you? Did you know that there are fellow Christians depending on you to help them? Let’s lock arms. We are not alone. We have Him, and we have each other.
